Happy Day!

I am back with another layout to share from my mammoth scrappy weekend effort (okay well maybe mammoth is taking it a little too far LOL but it was a lot for me).

This page features the Cosmo Cricket Joyride collection. I had a few odds and ends left from another layout so created this. I have to admit that is one of my favourite things to do..it must have something to do with decisions being easier when there is a limited amount of product to use.

I used the B side of a Kaisercraft paper for my background and then layered up all my leftovers.

I will add the journalling in there one day (promise). This is a pic of me with my boys: one in the pram, one either side and the last one who refused to have his photo taken skulking around in the background. It makes me giggle seeing him back there. In this family there is always one who doesn't want to co-operate. (Hey maybe I just did my journalling??)

Here is a close up of the title. I used October Afternoon Mini Market stickers to complete the title on a tag from the Cosmo Cricket collection. I am loving the Mini Market stickers at the moment - they are just perfect for that finishing touch to titles.

And lastly a look at the cluster in the top right. How cute is that camera motif?

I think I have about three tiny scraps of the paper left now. I still can't throw it out though - I think I may have a problem (My husband would say I definately do but that is a whole other story LOL).

A very scrappy weekend

This past weekend was spent with some of my dearest friends and family scrapbooking, giggling and generally having fun.

We hired a little hall/cabin close by and spent several nights sitting up way too late chatting and scrapping.

It was a lovely time and I must also say thank you to Cindi and her hubby Gordon who organised and prepared the food. Nothing like being spoilt with a meal prepared for you.

I actually managed to complete 16 pages and most of my December Daily foundation pages whilst I was there - very impressed with that effort.

The page I am sharing today was actually one of the last pages I completed but definately one of my faves from the weekend.

I love love love the colour combination here which was based on papers from Making Memories (I can't remember the name of the collection but needless to say it is an old one).

The layered "baby" sticker was from K & Co, flowers by Prima and pearls from Kaisercraft.

The journalling card is from Simple Stories, thickers from American Crafts and small letter stickers from October Afternoon. These three were the only recent purchases used (and by recent I mean the last six months LOL).

These photos are of my sweet niece Nykola who is now aged 10!! Where did that time go. I had cropped the photos and started a page with them many years ago but it sat in my unfinished pile until I finally pulled it apart and started again. Much happier with this second attempt.

Do you have an unfinished layout pile too? What motivates you to finally finish those layouts? Please share, I would love to know your answers. I still have quite a few ufos to go.

Happy Scrapping

Lisa
