Boxing Practice

The first layout from "Joy Ride" my February Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit came together really quickly. Love it when that happens.

A few details

I put the embossing folder to work to give the green patterned paper an extra texture. I really like that cross hatch pattern for boy layouts.

My Martha Stewart pinked circle punch died during the creation of this layout. I haven't really used it that much so I am a little disappointed that is has stopped working already. In July (when I can shop again - see here) I will look at getting some pinked circle nesting dies. It is a shape that works great for"boy"stuff. (Alternatively if my hubby reads this and would like a gift idea these would be perfect - not so subtle hint).

Happy Scrapping

  1. Oh, wow! Do I ever love this page!!! Love the buttons, the arrows, the twine around the photo. The silly photo! FABULOUS page!!!

  2. Lovely boy page. Annoying about the MS punch

  3. Awesome layout, I like the twine around the photo, and the vellum arrow pointing to your journaling! x

  4. Love your page!!! Especially all the extra touches you added like using your embossing folder on that green paper, the twine around the photo and that lovely pinked circle! It's really a shame that your punch broke and maybe your dh will take a hint!!! Good luck with that!!

  5. Great page - I love the use of texture from your embossing folder. Annoying about the punch - ask hubby to see if he can repair it (and contact MS themselves - you never know ... they may replace it!).

  6. That is a fabulous boy page! what a great action photo too! The embossing on the green paper is great!!

  7. super cute and I love that your kit really looks like the "inspiration" kit!

  8. They are great pictures. I love all the buttons you used.
